My niece is sending the following verses to her son as he embarks on his Ranger training in rural Georgia.
We may not be facing Ranger-like tests, but when we grow faint-hearted, weary, tired, may these promises bring us hope and encouragement.
“Do you not know? Have you not heard that the Lord, the everlasting God, the creator of the wide world does not grow tired nor weary? He gives power to the faint and to those who have no might, He increases strength.” Is 40: 28, 29
A few more…
Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”
Psalm 27:14 “Wait for the Lord; be strong, and let your heart take courage, wait for the Lord!”
Psalm 119:114 “You are my refuge and my shield; your word is my source of hope.”
Psalm 139:14 “I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.”
Perfect timing for your message / essay. Thank you!
Love, Charlie
